Re: An overnighter in KNP

Great work John. It brings back many, many memories from when I used to visit Kosciusko. Sadly I'm too old now but the spirit is still willing. However I can visit KNP through works like yours and Maris' and by periodically reviewing my own images. Thanks for posting, and please keep going back the...

An overnighter in KNP

Hi team! Took the speed graphic (along with too many other cameras!) out for a hike on the Main range and Kosciusko National Park these past couple of days. It yielded some large format shots that I'm pretty happy with! All with Symmar-S 135mm, orange filter and agfapan apx100 in HC-110, dil. B 6.5m...

Re: Native raspberry leaves

John, that, as Maris mentions, is a nicely balanced picture. Not sure if your father getting smashed by mossies quite sees this image, in the same vein as we do! :o Cheers, Mick! I sent him the pic and he is into it... I'll try printing this at 11x14 this weekend, and hopefully send him a print too...

Re: Native raspberry leaves

Good one John Power . Native raspberry leaves is a masterclass in balanced composition. Was it a spontaneous find or very artful ikebana on your part? Those middle leaves look like beaten silver; a gorgeous tonal assignment. Hey, thanks for that compliment, Maris! This was taken in situ, no disturb...

Re: Super Sharp, Super Fine Grain Film & Soup

Not the same detail, but Steve O'nions has started to give it a whirl, too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBRoVRshGfM IT I still have two more rolls to go, and the adotech iv to dev. I've done a few enlargements with the first couple of rolls and there was no grain to focus when enlarging, the onl...

Native raspberry leaves

G'day Crew, its been ages! I dusted off the speed graphic today and took my dad down to the botanic gardens here in Canberra to show him the process of making images with it. We went to the rainforest gully, he got smashed by mozzies, but we came away with this image which I like a lot. I've been en...

Re: Lake Mokoan

I drive past Mokoan many times a year, Mick, and had been wondering recently whether there'd be any water in there to shoot. I grew up nearby, and knew nothing about the controversy with the water quality and run off, I only ever knew it as a place where people water skied, while we drove much furth...

For Sale - Horseman L45 with Symmar-S 135mm

I'm going to pare back my LF kit (among other formats) and have decided the graphic might get more use. The Horseman L45 comes with bag bellows, standard bellows, Schneider Krueznach Symmar-S 135mm lens and 2 Toyo 4x5 film holders (capacity of 4 sheets). The package will come in the original horsema...
