Sometimes you just can't win

So I go to dig out both of my LF cameras for an upcoming project, and find that they've both got mechanical problems. Neither is a showstopper, but it's certainly annoying! The Crown Graphic has a displaced hinge on the focus track which prevents a full range of focusing. (I'll need to get the right...

I've always been happy with the work done by Atkins Technicolour here in Adelaide.

Re: Moving on to 8x10

Just thought I'd speak up and mention that I'm finding this thread quite interesting and helpful; like the thread starter, I'm also looking at moving from 4x5 (printed in an enlarger) to 8x10 (contact printed). Keep the helpful information coming, one day I'll find an 8x10 setup for a sane price :)

Re: Can anyone recommend a loupe?

Getting back to the original question, I'm quite happy with my Rodenstock 4x loupe. The quality is great, although I'd like to also have a 6x loupe for some occasions; the idea would be to use the 4x mostly, and have the 6x for the few occasions where a bit more magnification is needed.

Re: A few jobo hypo mas dev questions

Hypo if I remember correctly is what fixer use to be called before rapid fixers came out. What the OP is referring to I assume is hypo clearing bath to remove left over fixer more efficiently than plain water. That's right. Although I don't bother using hypo clear for negatives, it's not a big gain...

Re: Best place to buy the Epson v700?

Although my V700 has since died, so now I'm currently organising to get it repaired [grumble grumble]. What happened to it? That doesn't sound good. Not sure yet. It powers up, and you can hear the mechanism move into place, but it then does nothing after that; it doesn't respond to any USB message...

Re: Best place to buy the Epson v700?

I looked at buying from Overseas, but there are very few that will sell you a V700. In the end, I bought mine from Inkjet city In Melrose Park (South Australia). They do sell through ebay as well, with a reasonably competitive price. And yes, Office Works wouldn't help me either. I bought mine from...
