Re: X Ray Film

Hi Shane, Yes, I've actually looked at the Freestyle reference. Good on price, but I haven't seen any work done with this film. Would be interesting to see how it compares with other films.

Re: X Ray Film

Thanks Lachlan and Shane. Carestream don't seem to have 8x10 sheets, the nearest I can find is 18x24 cm, but I haven't contacted them yet. The answer seems to be myus! I was vaguely aware that such organisations exist, but didn't know anything about them. Now I come to think of it, the guy at ZZ Med...

Re: X Ray Film

Hi Lachlan, good to make contact with you again. No, I haven't heard of this but I'll look into it. I don't have Amex but possibly there are other alternatives. Cheers.

Re: X Ray Film

I would like to know how and where you can buy xray film in Australia. I can't find any local firm which will supply xray film to private individuals. Re: Film pricing

I don't know why we persevere with Vanbar... I know, 'if we don't use them, we'll lose them', but they've been getting worse for years with lots of stock in their online catalogue unavailable, and some prices that are prohibitive. I'm at the stage where I only buy liquids and bulk chemicals from the...

Re: Focus cloths

I definitely think a dark cloth is important, particularly in bright sunlight, where the black layer helps seeing the ground glass. A white sheet or shirt, or even a black tee shirt as some use doesn't give the same blocking out of light. The white layer to the outside helps reflect light and heat a...

Re: Vanbar Sydney fading away?

I noticed on Vanbar's website that many chemicals are out of stock to online orders also. I don't know if this is an increasing trend, as I don't deal a lot with Vanbar, but it always annoyed me in the past that I could usually bet they'd be out of something I wanted. I don't want to sound negative,...
