Hopefully, somewhere amongst the yett-to-be explored trappings of being removed from my former residence in absentia is my mother's invitation to the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which makes it an evem more emotive symbol to my home town. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51594574428_c3f52...

Re: Giacometti Walking Man Morning Rush, Darling Haarbour

Giacometti Walking Man Morning Rush, Darling Haarbour

Giacometti is best known for the bronze sculpt[22ures of tall, thin human figures, made in the years 1945 to 1960. He was influenced by the impressions he took from the people hurrying in the big city. People in motion he saw as ‘a succession of moments of stillness’. The emaciated figures are often...

Re: Is The Schneider Super Angulon XL 47mm 1:5.6 Any Good?

Thanks for the comments gents, Colour has always a matter of commercial expedience in my world view. In my recreational endeavours I find it a largely unnecessary and unwelcome intrusion. But sometimes it can be the subject aand that's a different matter. Having said that I quite like it as intrinsi...

Re: Observatory Tower Indoor Wet-Edge Pool

Thanks Maris, careful exposure always. I'm not sure how it is these days but given that it is building of private apartments owned by some heavy hitters (including at lrast one former PM) it might still comparatively undefiled. Architects invariably give the brief to get in and shoot quickly before ...

Re: More Fujifilm ending

Masters of infanticide. They gave birth to two of the most amazing emulsions and suddenly killed off Acros and Astia years ago nothing much else has mattered since then. I've never thought much of their other stocks, but thanks for the heads up.

Is The Schneider Super Angulon XL 47mm 1:5.6 Any Good?

You tell me ......... I'd been using the Schneider Super Angulon XL 58mm for quite a while, it had quickly become almost my 'normal lens for the stream of habitat I was engaged in. Then first 47mm came available. I drove out to Vaucluse, set up beside the old convent and shot the sunset over over th...
