Getting back to the original question, I'm quite happy with my Rodenstock 4x loupe. The quality is great, although I'd like to also have a 6x loupe for some occasions; the idea would be to use the 4x mostly, and have the 6x for the few occasions where a bit more magnification is needed.

Hypo if I remember correctly is what fixer use to be called before rapid fixers came out. What the OP is referring to I assume is hypo clearing bath to remove left over fixer more efficiently than plain water. That's right. Although I don't bother using hypo clear for negatives, it's not a big gain...

Although my V700 has since died, so now I'm currently organising to get it repaired [grumble grumble]. What happened to it? That doesn't sound good. Not sure yet. It powers up, and you can hear the mechanism move into place, but it then does nothing after that; it doesn't respond to any USB message...

I looked at buying from Overseas, but there are very few that will sell you a V700. In the end, I bought mine from Inkjet city In Melrose Park (South Australia). They do sell through ebay as well, with a reasonably competitive price. And yes, Office Works wouldn't help me either. I bought mine from...

I might as well jump in here; Like hoffy, I'm another new member to the forum based in Adelaide. I shoot mainly MF (6x7) and develop & print B&W at home. I was tempted to set up to do C41 & E6 myself, but I decided that with the small amount of colour that I shoot that I'm better off out...
