Re: En-deadened acacia

I'm not a big fan of colour lanscapes but this is a great one. I think the wide aperture was a good choice too. Ah! I'm glad you like it :) I get sick of colour and go to black and white, until I get bored of it and then its back to colour. I am definitely keen to get some other colour sheet film s...

Re: Wattles on Mt Ainslie

here's another from almost the same spot... its a wonderful area at this time of year. Keen to hear people's thoughts on composition here! I was thinking the veil of blossom near the camera might be a nice frame but maybe its a bit heavy hanging there? My thoughts are that this could've been a fair ...

A bit of cush

Another from this morning. A rare occassion where I don't consider any of the (4) frames that I took to be throw aways. This lacks brightness, but I suppose its fairly honest to the moment. First time I've pointed my camera straight down... I nearly lost it a few times! Horseman L45, Schneider Symma...

En-deadened acacia

Out with the new lens this morn, got a good swing going here and I am happy with the way I was able to render this dead limb :) There is a surprise spiderweb (that I didn't notice while there) in the top right hand corner... its very well made and is probably the best thing about the photo :) Horsem...

Wattles on Mt Ainslie

I was very excited yesterday to receive a new (to me) lens, so got up early this morning for my allowed exercise and put it to use. The lens is a Fujinon SW 90mm, a bit wider than my only other lens at 135mm. Coverage is much more accommodating of movements, and I'll post what I think is my best bit...

Re: Tree pods, withered

Fantastic response, thanks Walter! The tech pan I have is 4x5, a mate has a few more boxes that his dad gave him. They were in his possession for his work at the civil aviation safety authority, photographing (I think) parts and sites of failure when things went wrong. I really, really love this fil...

Re: Old train

Thanks a lot for the feddback, Maris and Walter! The abyss in the carriage was not able to be totally recovered in the black and white, but I thought it interesting that I can make out some detail in ceiling in that image, but not in the colour image, which is, as you say, otherwise a fair bit brigh...

Tree pods, withered

We're locked right down here, so the kitchen table is the place to be with my camera, again! I think I missed focus here. Tech Pan is such a great film for me, endlessly sharp and reveals errors clearly. Other than that, this came out just how I was hoping. The pods were picked up on a walk a couple...

Wow! thanks to each of your for your words :) I'm still feeling a total beginner and bumbling more often than not, but your encouragement here really motivates me to keep on getting out.
