Re: Armed

I've been meaning to embark on some kind of "project" for a while now. Hopefully this kicks something off and it had already spurred a few ideas to chase. I've got a few ideas for these mannequins so hopefully they make a few appearances in the future.

Armed

I'm pretty pleased with this shot, I think it's one of the better ones I've produced in a while, and definitely much needed after so much disappointment the last few weeks(/months?). 8x10, 420mm, Foma 200 in R09 1:50 10 mins https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3951/15598871356_1e696dbf4c_c.jpg Armed by A...

Cranky Rock

Thanks Maris, not such a fan of these feel bad because a lot of my negatives aren't turning out so great. Definitely need to work on technique a lot more. Posting these because I'll feel it's film wasted if I don't! Another from the rock, Red 29 this time (red 25A in above picture) definitely need t...

Trees near Cooma

This is on the road in from Berridale into Cooma, NSW. I was on my way back into Jindabyne to hang out in the Snowy Mountains for the week. I was terribly unfortunate with the weather. On my way North, I was greeted with rain the whole time I stayed in the Snowies. On my way back South, I drove non-...

Re: A few more for my Silos series...

I must admit I am very jealous and in admiration of the clean tonal range you have in the lower half of your negatives in the grass, etc. For me, if I were to shoot the same kind of condition my ground/grass would be this horribly 'darker' shade of grey that just kind of muddies up the image quite s...

Detention

I by no means intend to ever really convey meaning or an idea through my photos, but for some reason this image is kind of begging to say something about a particular topic. More of a holiday snapshot than anything, but I was happy with the tonal range and strength the shadows play in this picture. ...

Re: A few more for my Silos series...

I mist ask, what time of day are you shooting? The shadows suggest to me late morning or mid afternoon... I've never had too much luck with my red filters that time of day, the polariser seems to set it off perfectly!

Re: A few more for my Silos series...

Wow. Not much else I can say about these images. Absolutely stunning, clean contrast and those silos just pop out of the landscape so powerfully. Fantastic work all round, I did see many of these on my travels up through there alas the weather was not favourable for such dramatic shots. Hats off to ...
