Re: Rock Stains & White Flowers, Girraween

Walter, thanks for that, I never knew what he used, apart from the small fact that I don't know much about him at all.

Re: Rock Stains & White Flowers, Girraween

I have never seen a Mamiya Super 23, did a web search, seems to be a very nice camera, quite the all rounder it would seem.

Re: Rock Stains & White Flowers, Girraween

You really were caught between a rock and a hard place; so to speak. If you moved down so the white flowers were in front of the dark shrubbery, you would have lost the rock stains, if you moved higher to highlight the rock stains more, your flowers would suffer. You managed to come up with a very g...

Mark, another cyclone or cyclones, may only be a matter of time, temperature and dare I say it, agitation. Walter, Ilford FP4+ is a wonderful film for this kind of photography, it's name actually inspires one to further explore photography. FP stands for Fine grain Panchromatic. This film ...

Ask and ye shall receive; great response there Maris!

Excellent study of texture, with great form.

Once again, tones all toned down; really great stuff.

Billila House

This was taken in January 2007 to show the only lasting damage to the only known cyclone that hit the area in 1918. If you look carefully, you'll see that one chimney is bent, this happened in the 1918 cyclone, when repairs were done the owners didn't repair the leaning chimney. This is taken on the...

Re: Nude, Warm Rock, Granite Bay.

Very nicely done.

The highlights on the rocks are of a similar strength to those on her body, the mid tones and shadow tones are similar as well.

Certainly on top of your game there.

Re: Reeds and Grass, Mount Buffalo

That certainly looks wet and cold, conditions one expects when on Mt Buffalo.

Nice enclosed landscape, looks like the inflorescences were waving in the wind.

I too couldn't access the site, but I wasn't too worried as I thought it may have been exactly what happened.

Many, many thanks for keeping the site going.

Re: Keebles of Clunes

Thank you Walter. Originally I saw this as a colour shot and concentrated my energy to that end; then we had a coffee break. Looking at it before we left, I decided to do a B&W; I prefer the B&W as the actual standout colour content was really only the front door. With regard to the masonry,...
