Re: Rock Pool and Nude

Maris, really well done. I viewed this in isolation, meaning it was surrounded by a completely black screen. When viewed like that, everything was correctly illuminated. The highlights, ulna, fingers and chest area, are all held. The deep shadows, a little surprisingly, are also perfectly held. Not ...

Re: Brachina Gorge

Very interesting, I have a Komura T400 which, when used carefully, is quite sharp but not razor sharp. It really stretches the front capability of my Shen Hao camera, which could be a contributing factor to its apparent lack of super sharpness. I used it for some super close-up portraits on my Toyo ...

Re: Berlebach Report 2042 tripod - new

I have the Berlebach Report 3042, which seems remarkably similar to this tripod.

Best tripod I have owned, unbelievably steady and seemingly vibration free after only a few seconds wait from pulling the dark slide.

Had mine for maybe 10 years, possibly longer.

Re: Whites Beach, Byron Bay

Is it on the rebates, also, is it also in-between the frames?

Developing technique, what kind of tank. Are we looking at a negative scan, or a print scan?

To answer your question, I have not experienced this.

Re: Brachina Gorge

Very nice, would like to see the original, it looks incredibly detailed. Last time we walked Brachina Gorge, which was around sunrise in late July, we spotted a Yellow Footed rock wallaby. As we were travelling with my Sister in-law and her husband from Germany, hanging around for pictures was secon...

Re: ABC Ranges

These remind me of pictures my grandfather took in the mid 1920's in the middle of nowhere as he and my mother and the rest of the family traversed the continent. Everything he did was sepia toned back then. They are very nice and as Maris mentioned, obviously taken when the light was at its stronge...

Re: Bottle Tree, Toowoomda

The shadow play on the lawn is fabulous, as is your ability to get coverage as evenly spread as it is.

Very nice one there Maris.

Re: House in Wallace

Thank you Maris. Not too flash happy with the multiple exposures these days, that said, I can sometimes let loose. However, I only travel with 6 sheets of FP4+, 4 sheets of Bergger and 4 sheets of Foma loaded at any time. Loading more is easy as I only need to walk back to the camper to unload reloa...

Re: House in Wallace

Well, as luck would have it, I exposed another sheet 9 minutes later, more side on. I was looking at the negs on the light table and couldn't resist scanning this one. I like the house better, but the steel factory at the rear is quite distracting; at least that is what I thought. Shen Hao HZX45-IIA...

House in Wallace

We visited some friends a couple of weeks ago, on the way home we decided to stop somewhere and have some food and play a game of scrabble, as you do. I headed to Wallace as I knew there was a Butter factory there from the many times I traversed Ballarat Road (highway) in the seventies; before the f...
