Re: Love, White Marble, Noosa Gardens

Pretty good Maris, one cannot see that it is only a double bust sculpture with your tight framing. One of my friends is into sculpture, he went gaga when that sculpture won some kind of prize. It is his style, which was why he was chuffed; also how I know about it down here. You really couldn't do j...

Re: Fallen Log and Sedge

Ooh, Maris, that is a hard subject to photograph.

I think you have made a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Re: Large Format Fisheye

Quite interesting. I have never seen that lens, so I don't know how large it is, but if it is anything like other lenses in the RB range, it certainly wouldn't be light or small.

Doesn't appear to be much falloff either, quite remarkable.

Re: Nude, White sunlight

Very nice pose, I see the function of the image, which follows the form of the subject.

I think you have succeeded quite well.

I have a question: were you standing on a ladder or something else to get viewing/focusing right? Either that, or you are very tall; I'm suppositioning here. :o

Re: Boulder, Bald Rock National Park

Very nice placement of the tree, really gives the image a kick. Are your nice white tennis shoes, still nice and white? I would have thought you could almost hide under the bellows of an 8x10" camera, they are certainly big enough. Working very hard for a photograph, doesn't give you ...

Re: Lake Weyba, Low Tide

Quite nice, looks like a gentle day. We visited Lake Weyba in early February this year, fleeting visit as we had business in Yandina. Couldn't take a picture due to time constraints, not to mention the gale force wind :o Just as a matter of interest and maybe to help when we next visit, is this on ...

Re: Tea Tree Bay #3

Barry, I have been sporadically looking for secondhand ones from Hoya, which are not cheap, these look quite interesting and the price is right, around $26.00 AUD delivered. Might have to see if I can allocate some time resources to that. Currently outfitting a new camping vehicle, which takes time,...

Re: Tea Tree Bay #3

Very nice Maris, as Barry mentions, you saw the vista and managed to record it for posterity. The falloff to the edges are really helped by the general lighting situation of the scene; you couldn't have ordered it better. I've wondered about using IR film in a view camera, but I only have an IR filt...

Re: Garage Portrait Session

Yes I do shop there and the last exhibition I saw there was some carbon printing from two or three people. One from the USA, one from Hawaii (I think) and a maybe a third person, but I cannot remember.

She has a very nice darkroom, obviously set up or teaching.
