If there is no need or desire for discussion why did you start this thread in the first place?

Re: The 8x10 is ready to see duty .....

An odd story - Do you have a 10x8" enlarger? - Have you tried contact printing? However, real discussion on this topic would be best over a good Cognac, as it feels to me the Sinar 10x8" has become an obstacle that you need to talk through - If my feeling is right perhaps put the 10x8"...

Re: The Wonder Of The Contact Print

Deal :) I have recently become intrigued by the contact print... How its done, what is required... The intrigue also has me looking at 8x10 stuido cameras for portrait work... Obviously a 4x5 contact print would be a little silly.. but 8x10 or bigger would be fantastic... 5x4" contact prints a...

Re: Direct or Indirect Shifts?

PS = A further advantage to skilled use of camera movements is that it allows the use of wider apertures which help protect against motion blur in LS water - Having witnessed the blurred water madness that swept across landscape photography in the early 1970s following the Scrimshaw Press monograph ...

Lens repolishing recommendations please

Re: Direct or Indirect Shifts?

Take up thy camera and play, lots My Sinars are both Normas, the cameras I grew up with, so I had to learn how to adjust things visually On the Linhof I have got used to knowing that to get infinite DoF in flat landscapes, Australia has a lot of these, the correct back tilt for 90mm is half a ring f...

Re: Mixing and keeping D-76.

D76 = The older the better - My deep tank of D76d was made up on the 3rd May 1985 and has been used with replenishment ever since - Like me, it continues to improve with age Tech note, I use the partial replacement of stock in addition to replenisher method and make regular zone VIII and XI tests wh...

Re: Darkrooms

This is an old pic from 2006 - Since then the darkroom has been extended, the DeVere 54 replaced with a DV504, the Focomat Ic replaced with a MG headed Leitz V35 and a new section of dry bench for 42" roll paper cutting and a contact printing frame - The deep tanks of D76d opposite the DV5108E ...
