Re: Muttonbird Island - Pinhole

I've honestly never seen pinhole photos this sharp before. The smaller and cleaner the pinhole the better from what I remember, so it must be well made I guess. I can still see some trademark softness and glow here and there which is nice.

Re: Muttonbird Island - Pinhole

How'd you manage photos this sharp with a pinhole?

Dead Tree & Moon, Mt. Tamborine.

I took this photo the same morning as 'Moonset Tamborine, Winter' which is a few post below. Was going to use an orange filter but I didn't wan't to drop the shadows too much, also I wanted the dead tree to stand out from the background almost like a silhouette. Very luminous. Good scene to bring the whites right up.

90mm f8 Ilex-Calumet Wide Field Caltar

Anyone interested in a cheap lens? Glass is in good condition, shutter speeds work fine, covers 5x7', Seikosha-slv shutter. f8-f45 with speeds up to 1/500. Has no lens caps (aside from the homemade cardboard caps that I made). Lens is not as sharp as the best on the market, hence the price. I've use...

Re: Centreless composition

When you say Centreless are you talking about the actual physical centre of the frame? or by Centreles do you mean there is no main focal point? If the former of the two, you could argue that the curved tree that enters from the left leads the viewers eye to the centre of the frame. If the latter, I...

Moonset Tamborine, Winter.

An easy photo to make when looking west from Mt. Tamborine. Despite having photographed from many of the peaks in SE QLD, this is still one of my favourite viewpoints. 4x5 t-max, 210 lens, warm jumper.

Re: Focus Shift when Enlarging.

Ok cheers Maris. Maybe I am slightly bumping the enlarger when exchanging filters. It would explain the inconsistencies between different filters.
