Re: Boulder, Girraween

Not sure of the track name Maris but it's up the top with all the balancing Boulders. When I made it I was upset with the composition and stashed it amongst all my other failed negatives. Looking back at it now I feel like I wouldn't frame it any other way, it's weird how taste changes over time :ro...

Boulder, Girraween

Although I've moved into different kinds of art for the time being, I still consider LF to be my favourite form of expression. Anyone who's been to Girraween probably knows this spot. Made on t-max400, Sinar 4x5.

Re: Noosa River, Afternoon.

The shadow detail you've managed to achieve here is ridiculous.

Re: 2 plates from Hamilton

I really like that first one but the second one reminds me of work from Lee Friedlanders' recent exhibition.

Re: Bleached Wood

I love this. The composition is obviously great but my favorite part is that those whites are way up there. The slight focus fall-off is also very interesting.

Cemetery, Hatton Vale.

I recently purchased a new semi-decent printer and i'm kinda shocked by the results to be honest. The prints coming out of this thing are far better than anything I've made in the darkroom... which isn't saying much. Maybe i just haven't seen enough nice prints :|

Re: Quartz Veins

Love that gradation. Burnt in? Two mistakes: I wanted detail in the quartz veins so I spot metered them and gave an extra stop; should have been an extra two stops. The neg is a bit thin and went out on contrasty paper which exaggerated the gradation. The 10" Commercial Ektar lens covers 8x10 ...
