Fuji X Pro 1

Postby Walter Glover » 19 Sep 2012, 08:14

Lat weekend I had the opportunity to shoots a test with the Fuji X Pro 1.

The results were astonishing and I know that I have no alternative but to get one.

Now, I am not talking of getting one in order to supplement my LF kit for personal work, but I would get one in preference to updating my Canon DSLR kit for commercial work.

I have had one of these for a few months now. It's a brilliant piece of equipment, I love it. Update the firmware to 2.0 though! They just released the firmware yesterday and it makes a huge difference to the performance of the camera. I've just got the 35mm f1.4 but what a lens!

It was the 35mm 1:1.4 that I tested and it was an absolute cracker, perfectly matched to the sensor.

I'll probably have to get the 18mm and the 60mm for it to accomplish the tasks I have to set before it.

They've also announced a couple of other lenses, a 14mm f2.8 and a 18-55 zoom. The 14mm I've got high hopes for and am hanging out for that being released. The 60mm by all reports is wonderful and is the next lens I've got lined up to buy.
