Nude in Surf Backwash

Nude in Surf Backwash
Gelatin-silver photograph on Agfa Classic VC FB photographic paper, image size 24.7cm X 19.3cm, from a 8x10 Kodak Tmax 400 negative exposed in a Tachihara 810HD field view camera fitted with a Fujinon-W 300mm f5.6 lens.

You know those long exposure photographs of waves where the water comes out looking smooth, well this was going to be one of them. However the surf was rougher than expected. My bold model screamed and laughed at the cold wave shock effect. And the camera and tripod started sinking in the wet sand. So the exposure was terminated early. The negative is thin and prints dark, mysterious, and profound. Or, if you know the back-story, it's a bit daft.

Maris, that looks really good.

I see a vortex dragging her by the legs into deeper water, could be the start of a great series.

Tripods sinking in wet sand, yet you lived to tell the tale!
