Jaimee & Louie

Postby alex gard » 27 Feb 2014, 12:12

Pic of my girlfriend & her puppy chihuaha (I am not a chihuaha person but this thing is kinda growing on me. He follows me everywhere and I'm training him to be a dude so he's not a yappy piece of crap like most chihuaha's I know are)

Just wanted to take a nice pic of her & the dog so she can have it framed somewhere for memory sake.

First time doing portraits on 4x5 and first time doing portraits in a long time... which I have very little experience in. I always forget how hard it is. Stoked I got the focus so sharp @ f/6.3

Just a canon speedlite 580exII through an umbrella to the right via PC sync (I thought it was so cool that I could use my speedlites on large & medium format cameras... really didn't want to sell them!)

cropped from 4x5, 210mm, HP5+, R09 1:100 1 hour

I shouldn't be one to to talk about portrait and lighting but reflector putting a bit of fill back onto the left side would help this otherwise nice image.
