Deathly redwoods and massive puddle

Postby John Power » 11 Aug 2021, 07:55

The redwoods near Canberra airport used to be a pretty amazing source of shade in summer, always felt like forests look in the movies. Now its almost all dead, which is a shame! So much rain recently has come too late, it seems.

Excellent example of photographic technique matching subject matter. The long run of dark tones, the shadowless illumination, and the skeletal trees against an overcast sky all carry the sad message. And the brilliant reflection doubles the pathos.

Wow! thanks to each of your for your words :) I'm still feeling a total beginner and bumbling more often than not, but your encouragement here really motivates me to keep on getting out.
