Fake Art Deco mentioned to Mick in the 'Brew, Chew and View' thread confronted by the sweeping arc architecture of 'Jetsons'?

Walter, it certainly doesn't quite look right, compared to the real thing that is.

Some years ago we were in NZ staying in Napier, the original Art Deco buildings while they were around, weren't as prolific as the travel ads would suggest. But when you came across some of the better stuff, it was terrific.

Early one morning we were heading out for the day and i had made arrangements to pick up a special wood turning tool manufactured in the industrial area adjoining Napier. We had looked for one particular building walking all around Napier, but couldn't find it. On the way to the factory, we drove past what we had looked for all the previous day. We immediately stopped and I played tourist with a couple of 135 frames using a red filter and 24mm lens.

This is the building we tried to find, but couldn't.
