Thanks Walter! I wasn't quite sure how to manage this one so in the end, I metered the shadows, metered the highlights, averaged them and used that as my exposure. But actually that worked out pretty much as I previously planned of putting the shadows in zone 3. It was interesting shooting with a big camera in the middle of the city. If I had one person come up to me and ask what my camera was about, I had about ten people. All genuinely curious and all left with smiles on their faces. I think people appreciate photographers using "old" or "real" cameras for some reason.
