It is still in operation, there is steam coming out if you look closely at the large chimney.

Surprised they didn't bump you on the head and drag you off into the darkness for taking the photo.

Yep; near Lithgow.

I've only driven through that area once and I must say that the landscape behind the mountains has this subtle beauty that you just cant find further north. So many great gums, hills and towns.
