Point Hicks Lighthouse

Postby Barry Kirsten » 16 Mar 2016, 14:27

At last I have a darkroom... the 6th in my nomadic existence. Since my last real darkroom in 2002 I've tried the digital route with inadequate equipment and results to match. And although I don't have running water yet, all the rest is there. I can't say how good it is to get back to what I know. I have a backlog of negs to print and reprint and look forward to many happy hours in this place.

This is an 8x10 contact on Ilford MG Warmtone FB developed in ID-78 (Neutol WA equivalent). Straight print, in my eagerness to produce and contribute something. !0" Commercial Ektar, 8 min exposure on FP4, developed in D-7 Pyro.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! !

I know all too well what a momentous event it is to get up and running. I wish you countless ages of fun working in the ruby glow of the print room.

Cracker of a shot and I am quite covetous of Commercial Ektars. As I recall, the 10 inch was something of a hero.

Well seen and well handled.

Cheers,
Walter Glover
