Storm Cleft Tree

In contrast to Barry Kirsten's glorious and vibrant back-lit Red Gum here is a sombre scene - sad and elegant at the same time, maybe:

Very elegant, Maris, and with a luscious tonal palette. There's nothing quite like an 8x10 contact print (except of course an even larger format than that), and that is a perfect example of the classic contact print. I get a lot of joy from re-working my 8x10s as sadly I no longer have an 8x10 camera. I'm tempted... but at 73 I have to be honest and admit that it wouldn't get much use. Thank you for sharing your lovely work, both here and the other forum; you've shown some wonderful work of late.
