Eucalyptus trunk detail

Detail of weathered Eucalyptus trunk, Wellington Range, Tasmania

My initial thought was to shoot this using T Max 100 or Acros. In the end though, I wasn't convinced that black and white would do justice to the subtle shades of blue, a result of the subject being in open shade.

I have always been a huge fan of what I term "monochromatic colour", and in this sample the point colour of the fallen leaves imparts a vibrant counterpoint.
