Maris,

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that "Old Iron,Rust, and Rivets" resonates profoundly with me. As a motif, yes, but also the tonality and geometry. For me, this an extract that requires no context — strong, bold, and linear with just a nod to the undulations in the plane. What a wonderful medium we work in that can so precisely convey the whole in the part. And, of course the vision to identify, select and put four lines around the 'sufficient'.
