Heath Tips in Snow
Gelatin-silver photograph on Ilford Classic VC FB photographic paper, image size 16.3cm X 21.5cm,
from a 4x5 Kodak Tmax 400 negative exposed in a Tachihara 45GF field view camera fitted with a Nikkor-W 210mm f5.6 lens.

Being from Queensland I don't get to see snow all that often. But when it's in front of me it I tend to look at it a long time,
perhaps long enough to see what isn't there. The pattern of heath tips is too random to be wallpaper, too unreadable to be calligraphy, but
somehow it was worth an expensive sheet of film and a nice piece of photographic paper.

Very interesting picture, at first glance I thought it was after an avalanche and I was seeing the tree tops; it's almost like that but on a much reduced scale.

You have selectively chosen an interesting titbit to show, nothing like an enclosed landscape, or is that snowscape, to get one's imagination going.

Qld can be cold, I remember visiting some friends in the late sixties and a decision was made to visit the Toowoomba Drive In Cinema. I was flabbergasted to find out that for a minor sum of money, we were handed footwarmers to keep our tootsies warm.
