Thnx Shane

I just had a quick look at your work, pinhole, 4x5, 8x10 etc, quite eclectic, nice images.

What's your favourite mode of working?

Thanks Ray,
I don't really have a preferred "mode" I think sometimes it depends on my mood and where Im going. I like the 8x10 because I can be more experimental (paper/xray/ortho) with the recording medium.

Thnx Shane

You mention various media including Xray. Could you possibly advise me where I might procure a supply of large format xray film as I've heard it is quite cheap compared to "normal" LF film?

I got it over the counter from here
http://dlc.com.au/en/x-ray-equipment/x-ray-film.html.

If they wont send it to you let me know I can pick it up and post it to you. They have both the two side emulsion (green and blue sensitive) which most people use and the single side mammogram film (towards the end of the list) which is a little dearer to buy. The two sided stuff scratches fairly easily when wet so best to develop in a tray. I use Rodinal at 1:200 for about 6 min and rated the film at ISO50 but i really need to test it better. Large format forum has a couple of good threads going on this film type.

Thanks for the info and offer Shane.

That website won't give me prices unless I logon with all sorts of personal info including an ABN which I no longer have.

Can you give me a rough idea of cost of the material you use?

Is it cheaper than "normal" film and worth using?

I think I paid about $63.00 for a box of 100 40x30cm Green sensitive. It worth looking into using it for that price but weather it works for you is up to you. Send (PM) me your address and I'll send you 10 sheets to try out. You cut handle it under safelight conditions.
