I’m looking for a good used Durst 138 to enlarge my 5x7 negs.
Melbourne area preferred.

I wish you every success. These are a sensational addition to any darkroom. I probably made more enlargements over my life time on 138 & 138 S enlargers than any other device — they were ubiquitous in commercial operations for decades. Most would have been scrapped 10 years or more ago as the evil of 0s & 1s spread its menacing tentacles.

Others well worth investigation might be DeVerre and Kamm

Keen to hear how you get on.

Good luck with your search for a 138.

It reminds me that I really should pull my finger out and finally restore that 3S (precursor to the 138) that I've got buried in my shed...

Hello,
I notice that some time ago you were looking for a Durst 138 Enlarger to print your 5X7 negatives by. I have two of them, both compleye with condensers, and one with the cold cathode head also. Negative carriers too. They live in Lismore NSW.
Let me know if you are still interested.
Cheers,
Mark Lang.
