For sale is my trusty Deardorff 4x5 Special. Essentially a 5x7 camera with a 4x5 reducing back as well.
The 4x5 back has been modified to accept polaroid 545 holders.
Camera is in very good condition with light tight bellows. Some crazing of the varnish/lacquer on the timber. Tends to swell a little and get stiff when wet. Both backs have new Steve Hopf ground glass screens with grids and clipped corners although the 4x5 back has a non clipped fresnel. "Original" (with the camera when I bought it) 5x7 ground glass though it says Burke & James on it. Can't find the original 4x5 ground glass though it must be around somewhere:
Included in the sale:
Camera with both backs in a black Pelican 1500 case (case takes the camera and three lenses)
6 lensboard, several are original I believe and others have been made by me out of plywood. 2xCopal 1, 1x Copal 3, 1x Ilex 4 and 1 that takes a Super Angulon 121 in one of those Linhof shutter mounts.
Original 5x7 GG
Should it need to be shipped I'll padlock the Pelican case and ship it and ship the spare back and keys seperately.
$1500 net to me. Inspection (Sydney) welcome.
