An Ebay Thought

Postby Walter Glover » 04 Dec 2012, 06:35

Isn't there something special about being the successful bidder on an item really early in the morning. I find it really sets me up for a wonderful day.

Thanks Shane,

It is a delightful little Sinaron-SE 135mm 1:5.6 in Prontor shutter. It will fit inside the Linhof Technika with the front door closed. I find the combination of a 135mm and a 180mm far more useful for me as a 'standard' lens than a 150mm and so I flogged my 150 some months back.

Funny that back when 4x5 was a normal commercial format that 127mm was a very popular choice. I don't know that anyone makes one any more.

You're lucky! My morning Ebay experience is usually being out-sniped in the last three seconds of the auction. Maybe my parsimonious attitude to lens prices has something to do with it.

And you are right about the niceness of the 135mm focal length. I travel with 75mm wide, 135mm normal, and 210mm long and that seems to capture 95% of what's worth burning film for.
