FS: Leica M6 with Voigtlander 50mm f1.5

Postby Alastair Moore » 15 Apr 2013, 09:58

I feel a little sad about it but I've decided I'm going to move my Leica M6 on. I love the camera but for me it's a point and shoot/daily shooter/walk around camera and I need something a little more immediate than the Leica for that. Shooting is fine and easy peasy but sometimes I don't get round to developing film (if I'm in my dark-bathroom I'd rather be developing sheet film) and colour film sometimes takes a few days at my local lab. So, I'm going digital for my daily shooter. I'll probably pick up a D600 or something along those lines, perhaps a Canon 5d.

Anyway, Leica M6 in excellent condition with a Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f1.5 lens, a Leica ever ready case and a third party grip - $1500 with a couple of rolls of film (some HP5+ I think)

It was a Tasmania thing perhaps Jamie,

Either intermarry with a rello or buy a DSLR.

I guess I'm not really into small format cameras. If I actually want to go and make images/photographs as opposed to taking snapshots and taking photos of family/friends I would be taking my 4x5. I can't see any reason for me to use anything else.

But when I just want snaps, or perhaps use a camera as a notepad/sketchpad for ideas that I would go back to explore with my 4x5 then I want more immediate results and I just wasn't getting that with 35mm film. And I also want at least some kind of usable "quality" from those images hence the full frame DSLR.
