FS: 3 boxes of Ektar 100 in 4x5 Exp. 10/2014

Postby Nathan Everett » 24 Mar 2014, 15:02

For Sale are three boxes of 10 sheets of Ektar 100 in 4x5. Two of the boxes expire 10/2014, and the other 11/2014. All are unopened and have been stored in ziplock bags in the freezer since purchase.

All three for $130 including postage within Australia.

I'm also still selling the ScanScience wet mounting kit for 4x5 and now asking $400 excluding postage. This was bought for use on an Epson v700/750 but I think should work on most scanners with the purchase of either the ScanScience or Better Scanning 4x5 holders.

G'day nathan

Not wanting to go down the scanning workflow route, can you comment on the availability of colour chemicals and paper these days?

Hi Ray,

Finding chemistry for developing is the easy part - the Tetenal C41 kits are simple to use (so I've heard!) though I'm not sure about RA4 kits for printing. I've never been able to scan Ektar and achieve satisfactory results though others seem to have no problems. Tried scanning as a positive and inverting and setting the colour balance off the base, tried multiple profiles in Vuescan, even setting the colour balance manually, none of it seems to look natural after scanning. The biggest problem in my books is the total costs, it's the better part of $15 a sheet once bought and developed. Unfortunately too much for me in my current situation so it's got to go.

The box expiring 11/2014 is gone, only the two boxes expiring 10/2014 remaining. $90 for both including postage.
