Wow, that is a great job, Lachlan! Yes, that's the fabric I remember you describing. I agree, sourcing the right bellows fabric is a problem - not just in AU. I have an article by John Harlin on bellows making: http://www.jbhphoto.com/articles/bellows-building/ and he complained about the same problem. I'm tempted to get a set made from China, but I like DIY.

Thanks, Barry.

I like DIY, too; however, I said that a year ago and have done bugger all about it...

(If I could easily source the fabric, well, that would probably add the D to DIY!)

I got a really, really cheap Sinar bellow a few years ago, expecting a semi-worn out product. Turned out to be NIB stock from Sth Africa. I couldn't believe it when I opened the box.

I should do some work on the fabric. After all, I currently need 7x17", will shortly need 11x14" and will some day need 12x20" bellows.

I had the title of this thread changed so that I can actually do a "Building an 8x10" camera" thread, starting soon. (Thanks, Alastair).

Just waiting on a part from a Drone-copter store and I'll be underway. Luckily, I already have a bellow for 8x10, so this might get finished!

A part from a Drone-copter store? Is this going to be a mobile, remote controlled 8x10 camera?

Thanks, Alex.

I'm about to start on the Carbon and Aluminium 8x10".

And I got teo 11x14" holders recently.

Seems spring will find me busy!

So do you plan on building these to sell or are they just personal home hobby projects?
What a great hobby. I wish I was good with my hands like that.

I really doubt anyone would want to buy one of these...

Only a hobby. More about teaching myself new skills (and building a decent man Cave in the process!!)

That said, however, I'd be more than happy helping people repair or fabricate parts

Need something built? Let me know!

On their way.

Rudy's weaving his magic as I type...

Photos in a couple of weeks, I'd say.
