Stagnated.

My feeble, weak brain can't work out how to attach the rear bellows.

I'm not too smart....

(Also working out if I can replace the base with a 4mm sheet of CF. reckon that'd drop at least half a kg in weight).

Hi Lachlan, did you work out how to fit the rear of the bellows to the rear standard?

Nup; not yet!

Also, since building this, the wood seems to have shrunk a bit, leaving the movements a bit slack.

Strange, as the wood is from a 50+ years old table. I thought that it would be stable by now.

So, I'm now faced with either resetting the base (runners etc), or redesigning/rebuilding it.

I'm thinking the latter, with carbon fibre to reduce weight.

Updates soon!

I'm down Tuesday morning, heading Sth over the week.

Hope to do a quick visit to Secret Falls one of the days.

I'll let you know when I'm close to Slowbart and see if you're free.

I think he's got the newer, multi-coated version.

Makes bugger all difference with B&W unless you're shooting into the sun. Which I've never done.

And I think it's another kilo heavier. Suitable for dead lift practice!
