Hmmm! The blotches do not seem uniform enough to blame them on your enlarger (hot spot), which would only lead to development issues. May I ask what size tray you develop in? and what agitation you use?

You are correct it was agitation,The biggest issue was no consistency and in between some cracker shots with no problems at all
some of the culprets I thought was
yellow y2 filter
lens on the enlarger( replaced it) $50
2016-05-01-0014.jpg
Research Centre 12/03/2015
Fuji Hrt
exposure 7m 47s F8
I did another with exposure 20m F11
I was pleased with the print
Won print of the night at the time.

Scan-131121-0002.jpg
still life with available light in bathroom
Can not find image details except Fuji HRT

Scan-131123-0001.jpg
Gorge Rd Adelaide

Scan of print

Scan-131123-0004.jpg

Scan of print

scan0143.jpg
Elephant palm studio lights
19sec F16

Slightly different print exposure

So a spread of the good bad and ugly these 4 I was rapt in,then along comes the inconsistent development.

andrewch59 is right. These latest photographs are really solid work. Forgive if you can a possibly unworthy thought on my part but I'm beginning to think that the technical limitations of X-ray film do not adequately repay your talent, vision, and energy. Shooting 8x10 is an effortfull high stakes commitment and the reward for success should be as generous as it gets.

Maris and Andrew you are too kind, those shots enabled me to win Black and White film trophy using mainly x-ray which the judges had no idea it was Orthographic and contact prints.
The next will be the stage of developer change to LC29.
I hope that these shot may encourage some of the members in using the X-ray
I do have some Foma 200 8x10 but have not used it until I have the bugs out of the 2D

I hear you Bazz! I have had a couple of packs of Ilford FP4 plus 125 secreted away for my trip to Canada, but I enjoy the challenge of xray, and the rewards of producing a scratchless negative that needs no post developing work is a great feeling.

I guess for me the other reason is cost. Being an old pensioner I don't have the funds for real film, xray allows me to play with 10x12 and even 13x16 in my Hunter Penrose without much expense.
