Hi all,
Just a brief note to introduce myself. I live near Shellharbour on the south coast of NSW. My passion for photography has been rediscovered over the last few years after some long periods of illness. I was always very interested in photography as a teenager, but could never really afford it, although I have had a lifelong interest in cameras.
I have been teaching myself large format photography over the last 12 months. I have a Toyo 45CF, some Nikkor lenses, and use both colour and b+w film. My interest is in landscape photography, particularly places/wildernesses devoid of people (which probably says more about my own existential angst), so my kit is set up for day trekking. I also use a variety of other cameras in 35mm and medium format. I develop all my own film.
In the future I plan to develop skills in printing photos and learn alternate processes. Currently I use a hybrid workflow. I post on Flickr and elsewhere. I hope to connect with other large format photographers in Australia through this group.
