LF Gear that someone might find useful.

Postby alexn » 29 Jul 2012, 14:18

The following items are for sale to help fund a 6x17 as I shoot panoramics more than anything else..

I would like to sell the camera and backs together if possible..

Linhof Kardan Super Colour ST monorail 4x5 camera with revolving spring back.
Two double darks
Fuji Quickload Holder.
16 Fujichrome 64T Quickloads
Ebay 6x12 roll film holder.
Flat lens board with copal 0 hole.
$450 for the above package.

Rodenstock Grandagon-N 75mm F/4.5 MC in modern Copal 0 - Great condition, no marks on lens or barrel, Super sharp lens, shutter fires on all speeds and seems accurate enough with my metering and shooting slide film..
$600.

Holga 120 Pan 6x12 panoramic camera with a 90mm lens. This is a plastic toy camera, but it is capable of producing some nice images... Its sharp for the middle 6x6 area of the field and gets progressively softer towards the outer edges of frame.
Happy to sell it with a cable release for $60. Its had 4 rolls of film through it since December 2011.

If you decide to split, I'd be interested in your 6x12 back! And don't you have a 6x17 back too? If you decide to sell that on, let me know!

the 617 back is spoken for already if I decide to sell (obviously if it doesnt all sell, Then I wont be selling anything)

I will offer the whole package, every item listed for $775...

Great way to get started with LF... Great quality gear that produces super sharp images with exceptional quality.... And lets face it... Its the cheapest Linhof you'll ever own...

Hi Alex,

I must confess a pang of kit lust for the 75mm Grandagon. Is it mounted in a board? And is it a recessed board?

It is currently on a flat Linhof board, I had a 10mm recessed board for it that I bought used but it did not have an offset shutter release attachment and as such I couldnt fit the lens to the board with a cable release. I did use it for a while, firing the shutter by hand but it was a real bother on longer exposures so I put it back on a flat board.. I found with my camera it was all too easy to use it with a flat rail. I still was able to use the lens to the extent of its (rather large) movements..

The linhof board it is currently fitted to is probably going to go with the entire kit.. maybe... :) I could be persuaded..

Revising prices and splitting it up..

Linhof Kardan Super Colour ST monorail 4x5 camera with revolving spring back.
Two double darks
$100 - Great way to start shooting 4x5...
I paid $440 for this.

Fuji Quickload Holder.
16 Fujichrome 64T Quickloads
$45 - Great for City shots and Interiors. I found this tungsten balanced slide film works well in daylight using an 81B warming filter.
I paid $30 for the holder and $60US + postage for the full box of quickloads

Ebay 6x12 roll film holder.
$100 - On hold for Welly.
I paid $180

Rodenstock Grandagon-N 75mm F/4.5 MC in modern Copal 0 Mounted on Linhof style lens board - Great condition, no marks on lens or barrel, Super sharp lens, shutter fires on all speeds and seems accurate enough with my metering and shooting slide film.. Provides a heap of movement on 4x5 with an image circle of 190mm. This lens covers the 6x17 format with 19mm to spare, but requires a center filter for 6x17... on 4x5 or 6x12 I have never needed or used a center filter.
$570.
I paid $780 for this. It was bought new and used once or twice in a few years, the previous owner tended to shoot at 90mm or 58mm and as such offloaded the 75 to me.

Holga 120 Pan 6x12 panoramic camera with a 90mm lens. This is a plastic toy camera, but it is capable of producing some nice images... Its sharp for the middle 6x6 area of the field and gets progressively softer towards the outer edges of frame.
Happy to sell it with a cable release for $50. Its had 4 rolls of film through it since December 2011.
Cost me $110... It was my first medium format camera. I put the first roll of Velvia I ever shot through this camera and was an instant convert.

As mentioned before I will sell the entire lot for $775. A saving of $80 off the individual prices. and a HUGE saving off what I paid for it all...
