Big distance between Goulburn and Cardwell; just saying. :D

Looks like the render has been lost quite some time ago. I'm drawn to buildings like this one for some strange reason, sometimes I get a good viewpoint easily, other times I struggle to find the right place to plunk the tripod.

Good side lighting has really helped show the exterior wall in all of its decay.

Is that some flare on one third of the image that I see, or is it an artifact from the digitising of the negative?

Mick.

Neither Mick, I'm happy report. It is a super sheer mist trying to be a cloud. It wasn't going anywhere in a hurry so there was no point in waiting and it is more visible in the neg than it was on the day courtesy of a 'minus blue' filter (Wratten 12). Scanning the neg and setting a curve, a bit of dust-busting, and perhaps a spot of dodging and burning is about all I feel is justified in my B&W work so cloning that mist out is unwarramted fake news.
